Today Ladonia received an unofficial visit by a delegation from the United Kingdom.
Ms. Balfour wishes it to go on record that she found it inspiring, especially upon returning by way of the Pine Tree. Her visit was carried through with remarkable aplomb for a young lady of her age and , as a sign of respect for the new State, the entire visit, or more correctly, pilgrimage, was conducted with bare feet ("pieds nus", pedes naturae).
Ms. Balfour Jnr. declined to comment, being filled with silent admiration for the sheer audacity of the concept. She has, however, applied for a one-way ticket to the lunatic colonoy recently founded by Ladnonian pionairs.
Ms. Barnard is considering to apply for cultural asylum, as she is presently residing in the neighbour state of Sweden/(Skåne).
Haggis MacHaggis of Haggis inofficially informed the Secretary of State that official representation would be made from the Scottish nation for an exchange of letters of accreditation between ambassadors of the respective states.
Mr. Secretary of State welomed the visitors on behalf of the Queen and the citizens of Ladonia, and was delighted by the prospect of Miss Saga Barnard earnestly practising the Ladonian National anthem. He was heard to comment upon her perfect pitch whilst engaged in this difficult activity.
